NEET Case Update: Bihar Police has found vital evidence in the case of NEET UG paper leak and malpractices.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) which is a mandatory exam to take admission to medical programs had to face huge problems when 67 students scored the highest marks in the exam.
The CBI teams collected the FIR and all the latest reports done by the state agency on the NEET UG case from the EOU office.
HT reported that the Director General of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU), NH Khan told them, “We also have to submit our report to the Supreme Court and that we will do in a sealed envelope with the up-to-date status of our investigation and evidence gathered thus far.”
The vital evidence collected by the Bihar police said that on May 5 when the NEET UG exam was being held, colleagues in the Jharkhand division of the Bihar Police notified the Patna police that a car was roaming around the city which is suspected of trying to influence the malpractices in the NEET UG examinations.

Deputy Inspector General and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Patna, Rajeev Mishra instructed the officers to track down the cars using the registration number of the card ‘0019’ that they received.
Later on, the car was tracked down and three people were arrested accused of having the admit cards along with the PAN card and password size photographs of four different candidates of NEET UG examinations.
The three people who were arrested were Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, his driver Bittu Kumar, and the NEET candidate Akhilesh Kumar and Ayush Raj's father.
As per the reports, one of the accused revealed that the question paper was leaked from one of the five Hazaribagh schools, in Jharkhand.

The investigation agency also noted that the question paper that was found in the burned booklet when the agency executed a raid in Patna was the same as those in the first booklet. However, it somehow was able to find the booklet and the accused student was arrested.
HT reported that “Yadavendu, in turn, demanded ₹40 lakh from each candidate so he could pocket ₹8 lakh.”
There were also reports that the candidates of the NEET UG examinations were forced to learn the answers to all the questions of the leaked paper from the Learn Boys Hostel and Play School in Khemnichak, Patna.
As per the HT reports, an investigator told them, “We identified their examination centers and detained the four aspirants for the investigation.”
According to the EOU, the question papers were sent in PDF file on May 4 from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand location.
As per the reports, a total of 18 accused have been arrested till now in the NEET UG case.
