We don't usually need a "official" reason to toast with a bottle of wine, but today is National Wine Day, which is held every year on May 25.

As a result, it has had a significant impact on the economy and society. It has allowed for the exploration of different cultures and the spreading of philosophical and religious ideas.
In the Bible, wine is often cited as a sign of a provident society. Western society was built upon the foundation of wine.
There were different types of fruit used to make wine in ancient times, including grapes, palm dates, figs, and pomegranates.

Wine recipes for celebrations
Vegetables and mushrooms served with short ribs
- Put the wine, leek, onion, carrots, garlic, parsley, thyme, and bay leaves in a big bowl.
- Put half of the marinade on the short ribs and put them in the fridge overnight. Warm the oven up to 300° and pat the ribs dry.
- In a pan with vegetable oil, cook the ribs until they are browned and crusty.
- Bring the veggies and marinade to a boil in the pan, then pour the sauce over the ribs.
- In the oven, braise the meat for three hours or until it is soft. Cover the pan with foil. Take out the ribs, strain the liquid from the braising, and throw away the veggies.
- Shiitake mushrooms, shallots, thyme, garlic, wine, braising liquid, and parsley should all be cooked in a medium-sized pot.
- Warm the oven up to 350° and cook the veggies one at a time until they are soft.
- When you're done cooking the ribs, take out the bones and put the meat back in the roasting pan. Add the cooked veggies and sauce on top.
- Put foil over it and bake for 15 minutes. Put the stew in shallow cups and top them with parsley.
Veal chops with Cabernet sauce pan-roasted
- In a medium saucepan, boil wine and half of the shallots until reduced to 1/2 cup. Marinate veal chops in olive oil, thyme, and garlic overnight.
- Add the rest of the onion to the melted butter and cook over high heat. Then add the flour, stock, and wine that has been reduced and stir everything together.
- Let it cook slowly for 30 minutes. Put the sauce through a strainer into a medium-sized pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Warm the oven up to 325°. In a large pan, heat the rest of the olive oil.
- Season the veal chops with salt and pepper, then cook them over high heat until they turn brown.
- Put chops in the oven and roast them for 10 minutes, turning them over once during that time. Place the chops on plates and top them with sauce. Put potato puree on top.
Red wine sauce with poached eggs
- Put 2 cups of water, demiglace, wine, tomato, shallots, and bouquet garni in a saucepan that won't mix with other things.
- Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to medium-high and let it cook down until it's half gone.
- Add bacon to a medium-sized pan that is set on medium-high heat. Cook until the bacon is lightly browned. Use a paper towel to soak up the water.
- To make a beurre manié, mix butter and flour in a different bowl. BBoil the win misture, then add the beurre manié and mix it in.
- It will take about one to two minutes to cook until it gets thick enough to coat a spoon. Take it off the heat, add the cooked bacon, and season with salt and pepper.
- Put poached eggs on pieces of fried bread and top with wine sauce, parsley, and the rest of the wine sauce.
