Mumbai Indians Make History with First Victory of IPL 2024: As Mumbai Indians snapped their three-match losing streak with a 29-run win over Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, Hardik Pandya breathed a sigh of relief.

The five-time IPL champions have created a huge record with their first victory in the IPL 2024, after being considered slow starters.

With their 150th victory in T20 cricket, Mumbai ended their three-match losing streak emphatically.

A delighted Pandya expressed his pleasure at leading MI to victory and tasting his first victory as captain. He also stated that MI wouldn't be changing the squad much in the future since team combination is the key.

With their mammoth 234/5 total, Mumbai became the team with the highest total without an individual 50+ score in T20s. Rohit Sharma even managed to reach a half-century, the highest individual score being 49.

With their triumph over DC, MI became the first team in the IPL to win fifty games at a single venue.

"I would like to have this feeling (of being a winning captain more often than not).Lot of hard work, hard to clear our minds, and everything clicked. We will be making some tactical changes here and there but more often than not this will be our XII. Settling of the team is important," Pandya said at the post-match presentation.

Mumbai Indians scored 234-5 with an unbeaten stand of 53 off 13 deliveries between Romario Shepherd and Tim David to secure their first victory of the IPL season.

Despite Tristan Stubbs' unbeaten 25-ball 71, Delhi finished on 205-8, finishing at the bottom of the 10-team table.
