Multiple Gunshots Fired at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s House in Gurugram

Multiple Gunshots Fired: Unidentified assailants fired over a dozen rounds at YouTuber and Bigg Boss winner Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence on Sunday morning, said officials.

The incident occurred between 5:30 am and 6 am when three men on motorcycles opened fire and escaped from the area. Over two dozen shots were fired but no one was injured.

After getting the information, a police team reached the spot and collected forensic evidence and are scanning CCTV footage from the area.

A senior police officer said an FIR will be registered soon as per the complaint of the family.

According to Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, three masked men did the firing and then fled the spot. Over two dozen bullets were fired at Yadav’s residence. Senior police officials reached the spot and started investigation.

According to Yadav’s father he had not received any threats before the incident. Yadav is currently out of Haryana.

"We were sleeping when the attackers came on a motorcycle and started firing. There were three masked men. One was sitting on the bike, while the other two stepped down and opened fire at the house. They fired around 25 to 30 rounds and fled the scene. Elvish did not receive any threats before the incident. He is currently out of the city for his work," the YouTuber's father said.

Himanshu Bhau gang has taken responsibility of the firing in a social media post and accused Mr Yadav of promoting gambling.

Carrying a photo of two pistols, the post by gang member Rao Inderjeet Yadav said that the firing was done by gangsters Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya. Those who promote gambling must be ready for a call or a bullet, the gang has warned.

Before winning the 2023 Bigg Boss OTT 2 title, 27-year-old Elvish Yadav was a YouTuber. He has a huge internet following and has appeared in movies and music videos.

But Elvish Yadav is no stranger to controversies. Last year Noida Police detained him in a case of suspected use of snake venom at rave parties. Yadav allegedly made arrangements for supply of cobra venom as a recreational drug, according to the police. Although he was released on bail, he is still being charged in this case.
