Its closure has affected the Kingdom of Dreams, a huge center for culture and entertainment. In addition to the broad range of items within the building, these were still damaged because of the fire as it has not been used for several years. The cause of the blaze will be investigated by fire officials.
The Kingdom of Dreams, which was established in 2010, soon became one of the favorite tourist spots in Gurugram as its opera theatre was very elaborate and displays a multitude of enriching cultures. It flaunted global culture by decor inspired from European cities like Paris and London.

But eventualities of mismanagement like financial status pulled it down. The Haryana government sealed the property after the management failed to pay dues worth crores. Its lease officially came to an end on July 29, 2024, though a termination notice had been sent earlier on July 6, 2022 on grounds that the property was misused by the tenants for lack of rent and other violations. Since this notice was given, all five gates of the Kingdom of Dreams have been sealed.
The management did not budge despite several notices served for payment of dues against them. The government rather turned to penalization for encroachment, further complicating the venue's already tangled legal and financial situations.
