Mark Zuckerberg Reveals His First-ever Facebook Email: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared the first email ID he used to create a Facebook account. In his recent activity on threads, Zuckerberg responded to an artist’s funny post where she wrote, “I’m you had to have a .edu email address to join Facebook years old.”
Meta CEO Zuckerberg, while reacting, wrote, “Real ones know. The first account was mzuckerb@fas.harvard.edu.”
After he posted this, old Facebook users commented how time flies and shared their memories from 2 decades ago and even asked if the email was still active.

A user wrote, “I remember being a senior in high school and the thing I was most excited about was graduating so I could finally apply for a Facebook account with my college email. It was all I cared about at the time.”
“So many people will now test that email,” another comment read.
“Pretty sure I took an adult education class at the local university so I could get a .edu account at least partially so I could meet this requirement. (Still the only college credit I have today.)” shared an individual.

According to the Guardian, Mark Zuckerberg was the first on the platform but not the first to have an ID. 3 more IDs were created before his for testing and then deleted. Mark Zuckerberg said he was the 4th on the list, Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz were 5th and 6th.
Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard classmates Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, Andrew McCollum and Chris Hughes in 2004 as "thefacebook.com".
It was launched as a "directory of information for college students". Since then many changes have been made and it’s now one of the most used social networking sites in the world.
