Biopic on Yuvraj Singh Announced Following MS Dhoni's Success

Bhushan Kumar and Ravi Bhagchandka are teaming up to produce this biopic. The movie will focus on Yuvaraj's off-and-on-the-field journey from the legendary 6 sixes in the 2007 World Cup to his battle with cancer. Yuvraj believes that his story has the potential to inspire many as cricket has always been his biggest passion.

"I am deeply honored that my story will be showcased to millions of my fans across the globe by Bhushan ji and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest love and source of strength through all the highs and lows. I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion," Yuvraj said in an interview.

Bhagchandka who has produced Sachin: A Billion Dreams is also its producer that adds expectations to the project. He has also been Yuvraj's friend for years and he said he is thankful to Yuvraj for entrusting him with making his life into film.

The chain of these cricket biopics was started by Sushant Singh Rajput's M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story we can say that this movie created the chain reaction that resulted in many Cricket-related movies throughout the years. That movie gave a boost to the career of almost every lead actor's career.

Some famous examples of movies that came after M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story are Sachin: A Billion Dreams, a biopic about the life of Sachin Tendulkar, and 83, starring Ranveer Singh attempt to recreate 1983 World Cup magic none of these movies reached the glory of M.S Dhoni movie.

Currently, nothing has been announced about the movie but is speculated that Ranbir Kapoor can do the Role of Yuvarj Singh as he already has experience doing a successful biopic movie and has done a 1000 core box office collection movie with Bhushan Kumar's Tseries.

Even Yuvraj also wants him to play his character, he said “I recently watched Animal and I think Ranbir Kapoor would be the right fit for my biopic. But eventually, it’ll be the director’s call. We’re definitely working on it and will have some good news soon,”
