Maharashtra: Water Dispute Turns Deadly in Dharashiv Village, 3 Killed in Clash
An officer said that people from both groups are distant relatives and were fighting over the water supply from a well for their fields, the official added.

Maharashtra: According to the police on Monday, at least three people were found dead while several others were reported injured due to a clash between two groups. Clash occurred over water supply in the village of Maharashtra's Dharashiv district.
As per the official, the clash broke out at Bavi village in Vashi tehsil of Dharashiv late night on Sunday, January 5.

The officer said that the people from both parties were squabbling cousins and contended for seeking the supply of water from a well being shared or accessed for their field.
The scuffle grew very ugly, with a result of three people dead, said the official.
Identities of the dead were Appa Kale, Sunil Kale, and Vaijanath Kale. Four under scuffle sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital, with one of them in critical condition.
As per the official, the Dharashiv police have detained 10 persons, and investigations were underway.
BJP leader shot over parking
This was another incident where a minor issue resulted in a violent clash. A government employee shot down a youth leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here Saturday in Jammu after an altercation over a parking issue, officials said.
"An incident was reported at Bakshi Nagar police station regarding a shootout in the New Plot area over a parking dispute. Advocate Kanav Sharma was parking his vehicle in a street outside the Power Development Department (PDD) lineman's room when he was confronted by PDD employee Ravinder Singh. This led to an altercation on Friday," PTI quoted a police spokesperson as saying.

The spokesperson said during the argument a scuffle broke out between the two, adding Ravinder Singh took his licensed pistol and fired two rounds at Advocate Kanav Sharma.
Kanav was promptly transferred to Sarwal Hospital, where first aid was administered and subsequently referred to GMC for further treatment. In the meantime, Ravinder Singh fled the crime scene, the spokesperson added.
Spokesperson said after access to the incident site the police secured the crime scene and called the forensic science laboratory teams to carry out investigation.
A manhunt was launched for Ravinder Singh and he was apprehended. The weapon used in the crime was also recovered, the official said.
