Zameer Ahmed Khan Offers to Become Suicide Bomber: On Friday, Karnataka's minister for housing and minorities' welfare, B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, birthed a sizeable controversy by declaring, rather shockedingly, that he was prepared to fly to Pakistan with a bomb strapped around him.
His statement, in the backdrop of the dastardly nationalist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam and rising tensions between India and Pakistan, went viral almost instantly.

The minister added he was willing to go to the extent of sacrificing his life for the country, and he wanted the Centre to act decisively. Laughter erupted around Khan at this point.
He further condemned the attack at Pahalgam and called it "barbaric and inhuman," urging his fellow Indians to unite.

As per available information on the web, Zameer began his political career with Janata Dal (Secular) and had been elected as the MLA for Chamrajpet in 2005 and has continued to retain that seat since then.
He paid his dues in terms of working for several terms with JD(S) before switching to Congress in 2018, along with six other JD(S) MLAs.
Last year, the minister stirred controversy for calling Union Minister and JD leader HD Kumaraswamy a racist slur.
Later during the year, he was summoned by Lokayukta police in connection with a case involving disproportionate assets. Khan was raided by the ED all the way back in August 2021.
