Kareena, Karisma, and Saif Attend Sunjay Kapur’s Prayer Meet in Delhi, Offer Condolences
Evidently, Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur passed away in London on 12 June and Sunjay's body was flown back to Delhi for the last rites.

Industrialist Sunjay Kapur, who was the husband of actor Karisma Kapoor, passed away at 53 in London due to cardiac arrest. Sunjay and Karisma, who were married in 2003 and divorced in 2016, had two children (Samaira and Kiaan). On Sunday, Karisma, her sister Kareena Kapoor, and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan attended a prayer meet for Sunjay in Delhi.

Earlier in the day, Karisma was seen at the Mumbai airport with the children and a brief glimpse of Kareena and Saif. In the evening, the family flew to Delhi and was spotted at a prayer meet in a well-known hotel. A concierge was spotted leading them to the prayer point.
Footage taken from inside the prayer point shows plenty of other guests who came to pay their respects as well. A large picture of Sunjay atop a bed of flowers was the focal point for everyone to pay their respects.

Sunjay Kapur passed away of cardiac arrest in London while playing polo, on 12 June. His body was brought back to India for the last rites. His family released a statement indicating that Sunjay was cremated at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground on Thursday and a prayer meet will take place on Sunday at the Taj Palace. The statement was signed by Sunjay's mother, Rani Surinder Kapur; his wife, Priya Sachdev; and their children, Safira and Azarias. The statement also included the names of Sunjay and Karisma's two children: Samaira and Kiaan.
Sunjay and Karisma married in a private ceremony in 2003. Samaira was born in 2005 and Kiaan was born in 2011. Sunjay and Karisma applied for a divorce by mutual consent in 2014, however, they withdrew the applications in 2015. After a bitter battle, the divorce was granted by the court in 2016. Sunjay married Priya Sachdev in 2017 and they had a son named Azarias. Prior to marrying Karisma, Sunjay married designer Nandita Mahtani in 1999, but divorced after four years.
