Joe Biden Shares Donald Trump’s Surprising Compliment: Joe Biden has apparently stated that he spoke with one of the interviewers, saying that he could have beaten Donald Trump in the presidential elections. He also narrated one line of compliments that the president-elect gives him. As the presidency nears the end, Biden shared in an interview with USA Today about an unexpected compliment that he received from Donald Trump who has criticized him and all of his policies.

"He was very complimentary about some of the economic things I had done. And he talked about − he thought I was leaving with a good record,” Biden said.
‘Who knows what I'm going to be at the age of 86?’
Biden also revealed what would have happened had he not pulled out of the race and had he achieved victory. It is presumptuous to say that, but I think yes, would be Biden's statement, evidencing confidence and thoughtful at the same time.
"But I am not even sure about doing that again for another full term," Biden seemed to have said. "So far, so good. But who knows what I'm going to be when I'm 86 years old?" he said.

Biden threw the entire country a curve on July 21st, 2024, with his announcement of withdrawal from the race in support of Kamala Harris. He said in a statement at the time, "While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term."
Earlier, he mentioned to Usa Today what he thinks of as "the one plus" of being really old. “The only advantage of being an old guy is that I've known every major world leader for a long time. I had a perspective on each of them and their interests,” he said, adding, “and so I think it helped me navigate some of the fundamental changes taking place, whether it's in Europe, in Latin America, in the Middle East, in the Far East."
