Janhvi Kapoor’s DIY Skincare Secrets: This is a simple three-step skincare routine that Janhvi Kapoor uses to achieve hydrated and fresh skin when she is not doing makeup. The steps include steaming her face to open the pores, making a mask based on her mother Sridevi's tip, and using almond oil.

In a YouTube clip shared by Khush Mag, Janhvi revealed some of her best homemade skincare secrets. When she has an important meeting coming up and her skin is just a little tired, she starts with the routine. Instead of doing makeup, she follows it for glowing and fresh-faced skin.

Janhvi Kapoor's top DIY skincare secrets

1. Facial Steaming

Janhvi steams the face to look fresh. For the steaming, she has herself covered with a towel and also covers a bowl for three minutes to open the pores. Prior to steaming, she washes her face with normal water. The actor did not use any sort of cleanser and said, "It’s really nice for skin."

2. A DIY hydrating mask

In this step, she prepares a bowl full of homemade yogurt. "I like taking the upar ka (upper) malai part because that's really moisturising," she adds in the video. Then she puts a bit of honey and seasonal fruit into the yogurt. In the video, she was using one spoonful of mashed bananas. She then mixes all the ingredients well and applies the pack on her face.

Finally, she puts orange on her face to remove tan or dead skin. In the video, she used half an orange and squeezed it a little so that the juice would come out easily. Then she applied an orange on her face over the face mask. The actor requested doing this step with caution, however, so as to avoid causing irritation.

Janhvi revealed that half of this DIY mask was inspired by her mother, the late actor Sridevi. She told her about the heaps-actually, wild almond-and-skillets. "Then, I got bored and improvised with the banana, orange, and other things. And, it just seemed to work," Janhvi added.

3. Applying Almond Oil

Janhvi said that her makeup artist, Riviera Lynn, and her found this beauty hack for applying almond oil on the face to be a good secret. "I take almond oil and put it under my eyes. It just makes me so relaxed for my skin." The actor follows that up by putting on some sunscreen.
