Isha Ambani Stuns in Unique Pink Bandhani Gown by Roberto Cavalli: When Indian craftsmanship meets high fashion, magic happens. And Isha Ambani is the latest proof of that! The billionaire heiress loves to slay fashion goals and we love to decode her designer looks. Isha recently wore a stunning custom Roberto Cavalli gown that blended Indian artistry with European couture perfectly.
Bandhani, a traditional tie-dye technique, added texture and cultural depth to the gown while the Italian couturier’s expertise gave it his signature elegance and sophistication. The combination of Indian craftsmanship and Italian couture was a one-of-a-kind piece.
Sharing Isha's photos on Instagram on July 21, stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania wrote in her caption, “A really special collaboration with Roberto Cavalli creating a couture gown for Isha that elegantly fused Indian craftsmanship with Italian couture. Handmade over months using classic bandhani traditionally from Kutch crafted by local artisans. The look designed by @faustopuglisi took inspiration from Cavalli’s 2012 collaboration with @vogueindia for Project Renaissance – which for me was very special.”
According to celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff, the gown is designed by Fausto Puglisi, creative director at Roberto Cavalli. Apart from being a work of art, it was also a nod to the brand’s 2012 collaboration with Vogue India for Project Renaissance — clearly the inspiration behind this piece.
Can an Ambani look ever be complete without statement jewels? Isha’s look was further accessorized with earrings by Hanut Singh featuring Noblesse Pink Sapphires, Emeralds, Enamel and Diamonds. She wore a few rings to complete the look and let the whole attention be on her one-of-a-kind gown.
Fans went crazy in the comments section, one writing, “Love the fabric but this could have been such a great collab if the bandhani was merged with the Cavalli animal print!!!!”
Another said, “What a beautiful fusion of heritage and haute couture. The bandhani detailing adds so much soul to the silhouette, a true celebration of Indian artistry meeting Italian drama. Loved seeing Cavalli’s legacy reimagined with so much meaning. Bravo.”
Someone else commented, “Thanks for showing our Indian textile to the world . Kudos to the team for executing this so well.”
