Vijay Retiring from Movies: On Saturday, the makers of Vijay’s upcoming film with Venkat Prabhu released the trailer of the film The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT) which made the Internet go crazy, Vijay fans were stunned to see him in action.

Fans have been coming up with ideas since the trailer was released and netizens are interested in director Venkat Prabhu's funny response at the trailer release event.

After the film trailer's release, there was a lot of speculation about Vijay's political ambitions and how it has affected the film.

Many asked Venkat if Vijay's political career had any effect on the film, especially in the use of the song Marudhamalai Maamaniye. Venkat replied, “It’s not a political reference; it’s a Ghilli reference. It’s Ghilli-tical. You’ve all seen the film. Why don’t you ask the makers of Ghilli about using Lord Murugan as a political tool?”

He further said, “Vijay sir didn’t want any line to be written that furthered his political agenda. GOAT is a commercial film. Of course, some dialogues in the trailer might allude to his political career, but when you see the film, you’ll see how it fits the narrative. There are no political references. Vijay sir sees a film as a film; we’ve never discussed politics.”

Venkat shared that he want to see Vijay go on with his acting career, he said, “Just like everyone here, and scores of Vijay fans, I too want to see him continue acting. In fact, I asked him if he would balance both. He just smiled and said, we’ll see. It will always be our dream to see him on screen. But he has a dream too; an aspiration. And I think we should support it.”

When asked about the possibility of Vijay’s family members joining the political party, Venkat said, “Anyone could join. Premgi could. But more importantly, why should I tell about my family’s thoughts and feelings? Do I ask about your family issues? But anyway, since this is brought up, I will sit with all my family members, take them into confidence, and tell them that you’ve asked such an important question, and we need to discuss it pronto. Then, I will tell all of you what our political plans are.”
