India's Got Latent Row: Well, even though the second summon has already been issued to stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell asking him to present a statement on March 19 regarding India's Got Talent controversy, Samay reportedly did not turn up today to give his statement, according to ANI.

Other persons named in the complaint had already recorded their statements: Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Makhija.

Several cases have been filed in Maharashtra and Assam against the accused. Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that FIRs were filed against Allahbadia, Raina, and certain other people for promoting obscenity. Supreme Court Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh condemned Allahbadia's remarks, stating that they were "dirty and perverted."

Subsequently, Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court for the clubbing of his charges. The Court granted him interim protection against arrest on the condition of his cooperation with the investigation.

What did Ranveer say to the Mumbai Police?

On February 24, according to police questioning, Ranveer Allahbadia accepted his mistake. According to sources, he has stated that Samay Raina was his friend; that was why he came on the show. Ranveer admitted his wrong statement to be a mistake, apologizing and saying he had no idea where he went wrong. He said he wasn't paid for being on the show since they, as YouTubers, generally do projects together for the sake of friendship.

Controversy surrounding India's Got Talent

This controversy broke out after Ranveer Allahbadia's comments regarding 'parents' sex', leading to police actions at different locales. Multiple complaints were registered against Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and all the associates of the show.
