Pakistan has recently issued a notification regarding the impending missile firings in the Arabian Sea region, creating renewed jitters about the possibilities of increased military posturing.
This was preceded by an India show of naval strength after April 22 terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam which claimed the lives of 26 individuals in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks following the abrogation of Article 370.
In reaction to the open hearted attack, India has taken strong diplomatic measures, sending back Pakistani nationals, suspending the vital Indus Water Treaty. However, India has now retaliated by suspending all bilateral treaties with Pakistan.

Tension mounts from a long list of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) up to which Indian forces respond effectively without any casualty being reported so far.
In his monthly 'Mann Ki Baat' radio address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack in Pahalgam, stating, "Every Indian's blood is boiling after the terror attack. Each one of them is feeling the pain of those who lost their own." He added, "Peace was returning to Kashmir, but the enemies of the country, of Jammu and Kashmir, did not like this."
INS Surat, recently also completed a successful precision test of the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MR-SAM) system against a sea-skimming target in the Arabian Sea.
INS Surat belongs to the Project 15B Guided Missile Destroyer program. It ranks among the most advanced warships in the world, having 75 percent indigenous content and fitted with state-of-the-art weapon and sensor systems.
