India Rejects Pakistan’s Accusation Over Balochistan School Bus Attack, Calls It an ‘Attempt to Hoodwink World’

India on Wednesday dismissed the “baseless accusations” by the Pakistani military levelled against India regarding Indian involvement in the blast on the school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan as a part of Pakistan's nature and as it is a known epicenter of terrorism.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti speaks with reporters, saying that there was a large explosion that hit the school bus in Khuzdar that killed six, four whom were students and dozens more were injured.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal forcefully rebutted the “baseless allegations” of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) arm of the Pakistani military that this attack was “planned and orchestrated by [the] terrorist state of India and executed by its proxies.”

While dismissing Pakistan's claim as to any involvement of India in the incident, Jaiswal said: “India condoles the loss of lives in all such incidents.”

He added, “However, in order to divert attention from its reputation as the global epicentre of terrorism and to hide its own gross failings, it has become second nature for Pakistan to blame India for all its internal issues.”

This attempt to “hoodwink the world is doomed to fail”, Jaiswal said.

No evidence was provided by the ISPR to substantiate its accusation regarding Indian involvement in the attack. The agency also claimed, “Indian proxies have been unleashed” to spread unrest in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Balochistan is Pakistan’s most resource-rich and least populated province and is struggling with a long-running insurgency with its localized militant groups, most of who have picked up arms to demand a greater voice in how the resources are utilized.

The bombing occurred just over ten days after India and Pakistan agreed to halt military operations following four days of drone, missile, and long-range weaponry clashes. The clashes came after India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistani-controlled territories.
