Honey Rose Harassment Case: Businessman Arrested for ‘Sexually Coloured Remarks’
Businessman Boby Chemmanur was arrested by the Kerala Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Wednesday in relation to the sexual harassment complaint that Malayalam actor Honey Rose had brought against him.

According to a PTI report, Chemmanur was arrested in Wayanad. He has been booked under non-bailable sections following Rose's complaint.
In her complaint, Rose accused Chemmanur of making "repeated sexually coloured" remarks against her.
Reacting to the police action, Rose said it was a peaceful day for her.

Who is Honey Rose?A well-known actor from South India, Honey Rose Varghese primarily performs in Malayalam film industry.
She has also appeared in Telugu and Tamil films. The most recent of these being the action drama film "Veera Simha Reddy," released in 2023, in which Nandamuri Balakrishna played the protagonist.
Honey Rose first raised the issue on social media, accusing an individual of stalking her and making inappropriate remarks. Although she initially withheld the person’s identity, she later revealed that her complaint was against Boby Chemmanur.
Following this, she thanked Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Kerala police for their prompt support and action.

Rose stated that she and her family were deeply thankful for the assurance and legal backing extended to her.
Chemmanur denied the accusations, stating there was no conflict between him and the actor. He insisted he never used any offensive language, as she claimed, and said he always treated her in a friendly way.
The jeweller further claimed he conducts himself respectfully with women and consulted his lawyers, who assured him that his words were not objectionable.
On Tuesday night, based on Rose’s complaint, the Kochi Central Police registered a case against Chemmanur under various sections of the Bharat Nyay Samhita and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
