High Court Rules: Different Laws Don't Apply to a Chief Minister, Says Arvind Kejriwal Petition
In addition to challenging the ED custody, the AAP chief also dubbed the corruption case against him as a political conspiracy.

In response to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's suit contesting his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, the Delhi High Court will rule today.
Different Laws Dont Apply to a Chief Minister: Kejriwal's petition against his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case related to the liquor policy scam will be heard by the Delhi High Court today.
In addition to challenging the ED custody, the AAP chief also dubbed the corruption case against him as a political conspiracy. He was sent to judicial custody until April 15 and now remains in Tihar jail.
During the hearing on April 3, Kejriwal questioned the "timing" of his arrest and said his arrest upset a level playing field in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Mr Kejriwal has been called the "kingpin" in the alleged scam by the ED, which opposes his petition and says the law applies equally to him and anyone else.

"Aam aadmi has to go behind bars if he has committed a crime but because you are a chief minister you can't be arrested? You will loot the country but no one can touch you because the elections are coming? You say your arrest will infringe on basic structure? what type of basic structure is this?" the ED had argued.
According to the agency, the money trail has been traced despite the Chief Minister's earlier assertion that there is no real evidence of his involvement in the alleged scam.
Kejriwal was denied protection from coercion by the high court on April 1, after spending 11 days in the custody of the ED.
The ED alleges that AAP election campaigns were funded with bribe money after LT Saxena overhauled Delhi's liquor business.
