Haryana CM Oath Ceremony: Supreme Court Allows Nayab Singh Saini’s Swearing-In

Supreme Court Haryana oath verdict: Amid the plea by Congress leaders to halt Nayab Singh Saini swearing-in, the Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the plea and allowed the Haryana CM oath ceremony.
The Nayab Singh Saini swearing-in as Chief Minister is expected to begin soon in Haryana’s Panchkula.

The Congress was shocked by the results of the Harayna election and told the Election Commission that they wanted a full investigation.
SC decision on Nayab Singh Saini ceremony was passed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra who paid strong attention to the peal and said that it may impose a fee on the petitioner who filed the plea.
During the beginning of the session, when the plea came for an urgent hearing, the CJI said, “Do you want us to stall the oath-taking of an elected government? We are putting you on guard. We will impose costs. Circulate the papers. We will see.”

The CJI also asked, “How can we restrain the elected government from taking oath.”
The bench told the petitioner that they would be charged if they circulated three copies of the petition to all three judges.
On Thursday, Nayab Singh Saini swearing-in ceremony as the chief minister of Haryana will take place in Panchkula in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP bigwigs, and NDA partners.
The oath of office will be administered by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Saini will become the chief minister for the second time.
