What the advocate alleged
The Zero FIR - which was logged at the Subzi Mandi police station in Delhi on May 22 - is based upon a complaint by a woman advocate who practices at Tis Hazari court.
The alleged incident occurred at the police station in Sector 50 in Gurugram.
The complaint reveals that the woman lawyer alleged that she was physically assaulted, abused, and held at the police station until 3-3:30am. The woman lawyer alleged that her modesty was outraged and that she was threatened by the SHO himself.
Started with wife of advocate's client stopping their car
The advocate claims that on May 21, she went to the Sector 51 Women's police station in Gurugram with her client seeking an investigation in a case which was filed by his wife.
After the investigation when they were on their way back to Delhi, the wife of the client blocked their vehicle and started raining abuses towards them. She allegedly threw a stone at the car window, as alleged by the complainant.
The lawyer and her client contacted the police emergency number (112) and went to the police station (Sector 50) to lodge a complaint. When the client was writing the complaint, a woman constable allegedly tried to stop him. The advocate interjected, and she was allegedly forcibly taken to the room of the SHO.

‘This is Gurugram, not Delhi’
According to the FIR registered by Delhi Police, the SHO threatened her, saying, "You are standing in Gurugram, not in Delhi. 365 lawyers come here daily. I will teach you advocacy. You don't know our power, I will do whatever I want."
The FIR goes on to explain that the SHO ordered the woman constable out of the room. The advocate was detained at the police station and released on police bail the next morning. Reports also suggest that a case was filed against her by Gurugram police.
Attempts to contact the SHO through his official mobile number and landline were unsuccessful, according to the ANI report.
A 'Zero FIR' allows a FIR to be registered at any police station, irrespective of jurisdiction, which is later transferred to the station for investigation.
