Govinda in Talks for Mumbai North West Lok Sabha Seat: Sources said on Friday (March 22) that Bollywood actor Govinda may run for the Shiv Sena in Mumbai North-West. He met Chief Minister Eknath Shinde five days ago. Shinde group is unwilling to give tickets to sitting MP Gajanan Kirtikar from the North-West.
The Congress fielded Govinda in the same constituency in 2004. Govinda defeated Ram Naik, a five-term MP. Govinda won the North Mumbai seat by 48,000 votes.
Govinda will get good votes if he gets the support of the Grand Alliance, which has a large northern population.
