Usually, the tools they use for analysis include Excel, SQL, and Tableau to extract insights such as sales performance or site traffic so they can optimize the efficiency of the company's operations.
Most importantly, data analytics is more based on skills rather than being a means of entry into a traditional education system, such as the certification and online training courses that have been made available in industry-relevant skills.
An exemplar is the data analytics certification by Google, which costs only $49 per month through the Grow With Google program. Others include IBM, CompTIA, which also provide such open access in their training programs.
These certifications provide skills on coding, working up spreadsheets and visualizing data.
At a time when the US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects more than a 30% growth in respectively category of jobs in the coming decade, such growth would be at least thrice faster than the average job growth rate.
