Gold and Silver Rates Today On September 12: The gold rate today in India went up significantly compared to the previous day’s gold rate.

On Thursday, September 12, the 22-carat gold rate is valued at Rs 67,160 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold price stands at Rs 73,260 per 10 grams

The gold rate for 22-carat has increased by Rs 400 in the last 24 hours and the 24-carat gold rate went down by Rs 430 compared to yesterday’s price.

Yesterday, the 22-carat gold rate stood at Rs 66,760 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 72,830 per 10 grams.

Furthermore, the gold price for 22-carat today per gram stands at Rs 6,721 and the gold price for 24-carat today is valued at Rs 7,331 per gram.

The gold futures contracts in the MCX expiring on October 2024 were up by Rs 36 and were trading at Rs 71,949 per 10 gm while the silver contracts went up by Rs 799 and were trading at Rs 84,480 per kg.

Gold and silver prices are mainly affected by tax rates, demand and supply, US dollar value, and many other factors. However, the gold and silver prices dropped significantly in July after the government introduced the Union Budget which reduced the taxes imposed on gold and silver from 15% to 6%.

This reduction in tax rate led to a massive decline of Rs 4,000 in gold and silver rates.
