Gaurav Taneja Defends Ranveer Allahbadia Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy: ‘Why Not Sundar Pichai?’

Gaurav Taneja Defends Ranveer Allahbadia Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy: Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying Beast, was once again vocal against Ranveer Allahbadia concerning remarks made against India's Got Latent. As the chaos continued, he defended Ranveer, stating that there has been too much unfair targeting and unjustified criticism placed toward him.

Gaurav reacts to the row

Gaurav stated his opinion in the video he uploaded on Instagram. He is glad people are coming together united to speak against Ranveer. But, according to him, now Ranveer is being pulled down.

Gaurav said, “When this BeerBiceps controversy first started, I thought the youth of this country is still sensible, all of them are not stupid. I believed that when it comes to their tradition and culture, they will fight, which is absolutely right. A lot of wrong things were said on that show, and this shouldn’t have happened. But what is happening now?”

The content creator even questioned if other people associated with the show were being called. He said, “I am saying that go and find Sundar Pichai now. When you put up videos on YouTube with filthy language, doesn’t the algorithm get to know? Why aren’t you getting Sundar Pichai? Because you can’t. They can only get the guy who is weak. They can harass him. Insane!” he said, and added, “Now everyone can see clearly what is happening. This is not the democracy we voted for.”

He also added that to determine punishment, the crime must be taken into consideration. He proceeded by saying that according to the law, it is not about right or wrong, it is about who can harass whom, and now it is happening in this case.

About the stir

The remarks incited controversy after Ranveer commentated on Indian Got Latent in what turned out to be a now-deleted episode featuring Samay Raina and other panellists. For the unversed, Ranveer had by now appeared as a judge of the latest episode of India's Got Latent along with Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukijaka, The Rebel Kid, and others. During the episode, therefore, Ranveer sort of grinned at a contestant with a question that attracted criticism online. “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” he asked.

After the heated statement, all related videos by Samay were deleted, and Ranveer publicly stated that he and his family had been receiving death threats. Ranveer has now been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber for February 24.
