Gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar Split: The Central intelligence agencies and multiple state police forces are facing renewed pressure following a reported split between jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his long-time associate Goldy Brar. According to a detailed report by The Indian Express, the two have severed ties and formed separate criminal syndicates.
Lawrence Bishnoi, currently lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail, and Goldy Brar, believed to be operating from the United States, are no longer working together, The Indian Express reported, citing sources.
Citing unnamed sources, the report stated that Brar has allied with Azerbaijan-based gangster Rohit Godara, while Bishnoi is said to be working with Canada-based Noni Rana. “Both the gangsters have decided to stop working together. This feud and their new syndicates are now a source of increasing tension for state police forces,” an intelligence official said.

The fallout reportedly stemmed from Bishnoi's anger over the handling of his brother Anmol's legal troubles in the United States. Brar and Godara allegedly failed to assist Anmol in securing a bail bond after his arrest by U.S. immigration authorities in November 2024 for allegedly using fake travel documents. Anmol was later released but with an ankle bracelet tracker.
In November 2024, 25-year-old Anmol was taken into custody by US immigration officials for allegedly using forged travel documents. He has been linked to the May 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and is also named as the “mastermind” behind the killing of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique last year.

“Both the gangsters have decided to stop working together. Goldy has started working with Azerbaijan-based Rohit Godara while Bishnoi is now associated with Canada-based Noni Rana. This feud and their new syndicates are now a source of increasing tension for state police forces,” an official told The Indian Express.
The development was recently reviewed in a meeting between the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and senior police officers from Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi, The Indian Express reported. Investigators said Noni Rana — also known as Surya Pratap — is collecting extortion money from the US on behalf of Bishnoi, using VPNs to hide his actual location.
Rana is the younger brother of Haryana-based gangster Kala Rana (Virender Pratap), who has been on the radar of Indian security forces for years.
During Lawrence’s initial days in the criminal world, he had joined hands with Brar, Kala Rana and others and made a group of his own. He has expanded his connections to several states and later entered the global criminal syndicate.
