G7 Italy: PM Modi High-Profile Engagements, Including Biden Meeting

G7 Italy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi after conducting all the cabinet meetings went on his first foreign trip on Saturday for the G7 meeting in Italy which will be attended by world great leaders for discussion in various global relations matters and also to deepen their relationship with each other.
World leaders such as British PM Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron, US President Joe Biden, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and others attended the meeting.
Upon arriving in Italy, the PM received a warm welcome with a Namaste from Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
On Saturday in a tweet, PM Modi said, “Had a very productive day at the G7 Summit in Apulia. Interacted with world leaders and discussed various subjects.”
“Together, we aim to create impactful solutions that benefit the global community and create a better world for future generations. I thank the people and government of Italy for their warm hospitality.”

During the G7 meeting, PM Modi met with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and discussed the relations between the two countries and problems of common interest.
PM Modi also met with Canadian President Justin Trudeau separately as the relationship between Canada and India was not good because of the rumor of Indian agent involvement in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar
However, a spokesperson, Ann-Clara Vaillancourt said the Indian PM Modi and Canadian Preside Justin Trudeau had a brief discussion to strengthen their relationship.
PM Modi also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discussed the matters related to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War.

PM Modi in another Twitter post wrote as he met with the German president, “Today's interaction with Chancellor Scholz was very productive. The India-Germany Strategic Partnership can play a major role in furthering global growth which is inclusive and sustainable.”
While meeting with Japanese PM Kishida, PM Modi wrote n a tweet, “I was delighted to meet Japanese Prime Minister Kishida on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Italy.”
“The strong relationship between India and Japan is crucial for a peaceful, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific. Our two countries are committed to cooperation in the areas of defence, technology, semiconductors, clean energy and digital technology.”
“I also look forward to further developing infrastructure development and cultural exchanges.”
He also met with several other leaders and talked about various global-related matters and strengthening the relationship between each other.
The fact that PM Modi was invited to the G-7 meeting by the Italian President shows that India is becoming a more important country in the West's plans.
