Eid 2025 Moon Sighting LIVE: As it was Sunday, March 30, in 2025, the Crescent Moon was seen in Lucknow, Srinagar, and several other places across the country, thereby giving an end to the holy month of Ramadan, for Eid will be celebrated the next day on Monday, March 31.
Lucknow Eidgah Imam Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali said, "Moon has been sighted today, i.e., on March 30 and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on March 31."
Jama Masjid, Delhi, has also made the announce that Eid-ul-Fitr will take place on Monday, March 31.

"It has been verified that the moon has been sighted publicly at various places of the country, including Delhi," said an official declaration from Imarat-e-shariyah-Hind in Delhi.
Likewise, the crescent moon was viewed at Srinagar on Sunday and other locations across the country.
Eid festivities started in Saudi Arabia on Sunday after the crescent moon was sighted for the first time in the Gulf nation. The crescent moon is normally seen earlier in Saudi Arabia than in India, Pakistan, and adjacent countries.
Thus Eid-ul-Fitr will probably fall on March 31, Monday, in India.
No sighting of the moon was done in Australia on Sunday, March 30, thus Eid there would be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Often known as Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid-al-Fitr, this festival comes after the holy month of Ramadan, which, in 2025, commenced on Sunday, March 2, 2025, after crescent sighting on March 1, 2025.

The date of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 for India will depend on the visibility of the Moon in India. If sighting occurs on Sunday, March 30, India would observe the inauguration of Ramadan along with some of its other neighboring countries, notably Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Should the new moon not be visible on March 30, 2025, Eid festivities cannot be undertaken, according to exceptions in Islamic lunar calendar calculations or Hijri customs. Full moon sighting would then be confirmed as the authentic evidence for Eid-ul-Fitr.
The post-Eid moon sighting announcements of the Imam of Jama Masjid Delhi and Lucknow Mosque will be broadcasted simultaneously from various cities in India, should moon sighting confirm the festival on the day itself.
This will be on account of being joined by other Eid-celebrating countries, such as Oman, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia, Iran, Malaysia, and Brunei.
