Delhi Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Expected Today, More Showers Till Thursday
Delhi Weather Alert: The national capital’s temperature is expected to come down to 27 degrees Celsius and can reach a maximum of up to 34 degrees Celsius.

Delhi Weather Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert over Delhi after days of continuous light rainfall in some parts of the capital.
The weather department said that Delhi will receive continuous heavy rainfall in some parts for three straight days starting from today, August 6.
In a Statement, the IMD said, “The monsoon trough is expected to come close to Delhi-NCR along with other weather systems likely to cause rain for the next three days and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi during the week.”
The capital’s temperature is expected to come down to 27 degrees Celsius and can reach a maximum of up to 34 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, the AQI report went up to 58 on Monday close to the lower end of the acceptable category.
On Tuesday, August 6, the humidity level over Delhi was recorded at 82%. Safdarjung weather station reported that it expects light rainfall in Palam and Lodhi Road between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Tuesday.
Mahesh Palawat who is the Vice President of Skymet said that a cyclonic that is circulating over Rajasthan is coming closer to Delhi which may cause heavy rain in the national capital.
Some parts of the national capital received light rainfall and strong winds of 30 to 40 km/h on Monday.

The Safdarjung weather station reported a rainfall of 4.5 mm from Sunday to Monday. The Palam also reported a 1.5 mm of rainfall till 8:30 a.m.
The forecast further stated, “Heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over east Rajasthan. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh.”
The forecast also expects clouds and heavy lightning in some parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
The IMD also added, “Check for traffic congestion on your route before leaving for your destination and follow traffic advisories.”
