Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh: On Thursday, 3 people died and 40 people went missing after two cloudbursts hit Himachal Pradesh in Shimla and Mandi areas leaving huge damage to lives and property.

Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh: After a severe cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh, a three-story building near the Parvati River in Kullu has washed away into the rivers.
The horrific incident happened due to the increase in water flow after severe rains in Kullu district however, there are no updates on any casualties due to the collapse of the building.
As per the reports, the whole incident was caught on camera, the video showed there were two buildings, and one of them which was near the riverside collapsed from the bottom and fell into the river, the strong rushing river within seconds swallowed the whole building.
In a statement, DC of Shimla, Anupam Kashyap said that the incident took place around 1 am and rescue operations are going on to save as many as possible.

Official reports stated that Himachal Pradesh was struck by a massive cloudburst Samagh Khud (nallah) in Shimla district which has led to the death of two people and left 28 people missing.
On Thursday, 3 people died and 40 people went missing after two cloudbursts hit Himachal Pradesh in Shimla and Mandi areas leaving huge damage to lives and property.
Another cloudburst hit Himachal Pradesh on July 31st leaving 1 death and left 9 people missing.
In a statement, Jagat Singh Negi, a Member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly said that the state is facing its worst situation, due to the cloudburst, severe damage has been caused to the lives and property in Himachal Pradesh.
He further said that four bridges, footbridges, and the apple crop had also been washed away and severely damaged by the rushing water. He noted that rescue operations are being executed at full pace.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert and Himachal Pradesh is likely to be hit by more severe rainfall. The state is expected to experience heavy rainfall conditions over the next 2-3 days.
Several properties such as the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway, Manali-Chandigarh National Highway, several dams and houses over the state have been heavily damaged due to the heavy rains over the past few days.
Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has summoned a meeting to provide aid and support to the citizens and come out with a solution to reduce the damage caused by heavy rains.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), police, and home guards have been instructed and performing rescue operations across the state, drones are also being used to find the missing people.
