Delhi Police Detains 5 Bangladeshi Nationals Living Illegally in India Since 2017

This is the result of the well-organized action by Dwarka and South West District police that is also one more step in the ongoing surveillance and enforcement campaigns against illegal immigration.
In the former instance, Bindapur Police Station crew of Dwarka District had found two foreigners of Bangladesh origin who were residing in the region unlawfully.

With instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka District a special drive was initiated to weed out and deal strictly with undocumented foreigners.
Two Bangladeshi migrants who illegally stay in the city were traced by the Crack team of the Bindapur police station. They have been deported according to the procedure, claimed the official press release.
They were found as Shahadatt, 30 son of Abdul Khalik of Morrelganj, Khulna and Mohammad Anwar, 35 son of Mohammed Badol of Savar, Hemayatpur, Dhaka. Both of them acknowledged that they had come into India illegally and were brought into the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) at R.K. Puram. Once the requisite formalities were completed they were sent to a detention centre in Vijay Vihar, Rohini, awaiting deportation.
The Operations Cell of South West District Police apprehended in a separate operation five other Bangladesh national two women and a 13 year old boy.
According to the press release issued by South West District Police, “The team of Operations Cell, South West District has done commendable work by tracing/apprehending five Bangladeshi migrants… Fresh deportation process was initiated with the help of FRRO, Delhi, after completing all codal formalities.”

The detainees were roaming in the streets of the Palam Village and they could not deposit valid documents of India and confessed that they had entered India illegally back in the year 2017. Before they worked in the brick kilns in Kosli, Rewari, Haryana, and they had just relocated to Delhi to seek new places of employment. In their possession was found photocopies of Bangladeshi identity card including national ID cards and birth certificates.
Two of the arrested women were identified as Akash (26) and Chamili Khatun (26) whereas the other was identified as Mohd. Nahim aged 27, Halima Begum aged 40 and Mohd. All of them are locals of different parts in the districts of Kurigram and Dhaka in Bangladesh (Usman 13).
The legal formalities were quickly carried out and the FRRO has started formal deportation of all the five.
DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh, DCP South West Amit Goel, and other senior officers have applauded their staffs in terms of promptness in action and fieldwork.
