Delhi CM Atishi Announces New Government Office Timings: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced alterations to office hours as one of the measures to put a stop to serious air pollution. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi will now work between 0830 to 1700 hours, Central Government offices will work from 0900 to 1730 hours while that of the Government of Delhi will be from 1000 – 1830 hours. The Commission for Air Quality Management has also implemented a series of restrictions including that of ceasing all construction and demolishing works.
With deteriorating air quality levels, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has issued new directives regarding the civil service working hours of the national capital in a bid to curtail vehicular movement and the resultant pollution.

With respect to Mrs. Atishi’s pronouncement, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will work from 08:30am to 05:30pm, Central Government office will operate between 09:00am till 05:30pm. Delhi government offices will, however, be open from 10:00am to 06:30 pm.
With the level of pollution being extremely high, the central pollution control authority on Thursday exercised a ban under stage three of GRAP in the area of Delhi-NCR, which included bans on any structural alterations, additions and demolitions. For the second day in a row, air quality in the capital remained in the ‘Severe’ range leading to the implementation of strict control measures. The prohibitions will be implemented commencing Friday.

According to the GRAP, excessive vehicle movement in the national capital, particularly diesel flaming inter-state buses, will be fully stopped including belligerent sccusing circims. Therefore under the firsy stage of the GRAP, demolition of ang construction works will be completely silted and other operation related to mining will be also silenced. Health advisories will also be issued suggesting closure of schools for children up to Class 5 and operation of married sprinklers on major roads every day.
There will also be restrictions on the use of BS-IV gasoline and diesel vehicles within Delhi and in the districts of Gurugram for the third stage of the GRAP.
