Cricketer Sajeevan Sajana Recalls Sivakarthikeyan’s Support During 2018 Wayanad Floods
In a recent interview, cricketer Sajeevan Sajana spoke about how her family's house washed away in the 2018 floods and Sivakarthiyan's timely help.

Cricketer Sajeevan Sajana: Actor Sivakarthikeyan came to the aid of Indian cricketer Sajeevan Sajana after the floods washed away the family home in 2018 Wayanad. Talking to ESPN Cricinfo, the cricketer revealed that during such a situation suh-ivan Kazkar reached out to her immediately after the moment.
My house got washed away, and I lost most of my things, including trophies and cricket kit during the floods in 2018, said Sajana. This was the point at which Sivakarthikeyan, her co-star in the sports drama Kanaa, where she acted as herself, came up to offer his help.
She told them, “Sivakarthikeyan sir called me and asked me if I needed help. I told him, Anna (brother), my cricket kit is completely gone, I just need new spikes. Within one week I got new spikes. I also had to go for the Challenger Trophy at that time and everyone there would ask how my family was doing and I used to get tense. But everyone was supportive, enquiring and trying to help.”
Lead roles in the film Kanaa are played by Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sivakarthikeyan and Darshan. The film has also been remade in Telugu under the title Kousalya Krishnamurthy, where Aishwarya and Sivakarthikeyan reprised their roles.
Sivakarthikeyan last appeared in the 2023 army biopic Amaran, paired up with Sai Pallavi. This movie where he acted as Major Mukund Varadarajan was directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan which turned out to be huge hit. As per the report by Sacnilk, the movie grossed ₹220.05 crore in India and ₹333.67 crore worldwide. The success meet happened recently in Chennai.
Sivakarthikeyan is going to appear soon in an untitled project directed by AR Murugadoss with Rukmini Vasanth while he is also starring in Parasakthi directed by Sudha Kongara with Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa joining him in the film.
