Chennai Rain Alert: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in Tamil Nadu – Are Schools and Colleges Closed Today?

Chennai Rain Alert: On Wednesday, the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Chennai city continued to experience heavy rainfall due to a low-pressure weather system over the southwest Bay of Bengal.

As per the reports, it is expected for the system to move closer to the coastal areas of the state, which will bring heavy rainfall to the state's central and southern regions.

A yellow alert for severe rainfall has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in 12 districts on November 12. Later on, the alert was expanded to 17 districts for November 13 and 25 districts on November 15.
