BJP Alleges FIR Names in Kolkata College Gang‑Rape Case ‘Replaced with Alphabets’
The four people who were arrested in the gang-rape case in Kolkata are Monojit Mishra, Zaib Ahmed, Pramit Mukherjee and Pinaki Banerjee, all of whom are then under police custody.

In the backdrop of the investigation on the gang-rape of a first-year student inside Kolkata South Calcutta Law College, Bharatiya Janata Party chief of the state unit Satyapal Singh on Tuesday claimed that the names of the accused in the first information report had been deleted and instead alphabets had been used.
Kolkata Police has arrested prime suspect Monojit Mishra and two older students of law college Zaib Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee and security guard of the institution Pinaki Banerjee of their participation in the heinous crime. In this regard, all four of them are in police custody now.

In the blame game, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been lashing out at the Trinamool Congress government of West Bengal over the law and order situation in the state and her party is characterized as a party sheltering rapists and women are not at all safe in Bengal until TMC is around.
On Tuesday, BJP national president JP Nadda also claimed that he has received a report by the fact-finding team, which the party had constituted with an aim of convening an inquiry into the gang-rape at South Calcutta Law College.
The 24-year-old first-year student of law in the South Calcutta Law College claimed that she had been raped by Monojit Mishra, the security guard in the office of South Calcutta Law College. Mishra was in the act of committing the crime and the other two culprits were the senior students guarding this room.
In the complaint of the survivor, it was stated that Mishra had suggested to her, outside the room of the Union, to be married to him. However, when the woman preferred to move away, he hauled her to the guard room and raped her. Even when she begged and pleaded with him, Mishra did not listen and raped her.
The statements in her complaint are supported by a number of evidences such as the medical examination done to the survivor, the CCTV footage of the college as well the tests carried out on Monojit Mishra.

Mishra, who was recruited in the law college 45 days prior to the crime, and the other two students, had been expelled by the institution during the continuation of the investigations on the case.
Meanwhile, South Calcutta Law College reopened Monday under heavy security after being closed down more than a week. Leading officers of the Kolkata Police were already monitoring the universe of security foundations at the campus as the incoming students were being dedicatedly examined by the personal shields who were carefully scrutinizing the ID cards of the students.
The students union room and the security room have however not been reopened with the students as well as staff denied access by the college authorities, said the official.
