Bihar SHO Suspended for Negligence in Gopal Khemka Case
A station house officer (SHO) at Gandhi Maidan has been suspended by Bihar police in the regard to case of murder of Gopal Khemka, an official said on Wednesday.

Inspector General of Police (IG) Jitendra Rana, said that SHO Gandhi Maidan Rajesh Kumar was suspended due to negligence of duty in Khemkha murder case.

On Sunday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made a fiery attack on the Nitish Kumar-led NDA regime in Bihar pointing out to the killing of a BJP leader in Patna. He asked whether "anyone in the NDA government is willing to listen to the truth or admit their mistakes."
Businessman, Gopal Khemka, was murdered this month shot outside his house in Patna. Earlier on, he had sought police protection over his family.
Several days later after Khemka had been shot dead, another man was also killed in a different part of Patna in Ram Krishna Nagar after he was shot dead by an unknown gunman. Vikram Jha the victim died on the way to the hospital due to the injuries he received.
The police are of the opinion that Jha was shot by a man who has come riding a motorcycle and fired on him. A case of murder has been registered and investigation is conducted.

Jha resided in Patna and has been living in the same city with his family since a year, and owned a grocery store. His family and he stayed on the first floor of the same building.
Speaking to the media, SP Patna East Parichay Kumar said, "Vikram Jha, a resident under PS Ram Krishna Nagar limits, was shot at some time ago. When he was being taken to the hospital, he died. As soon as we received the information, the DSP and I arrived at the crime scene. On analysing the CCTV footage, we found that the deceased owned a grocery store, and a person came on a motorbike and shot him. There seems to be no evidence of robbery in the store."
According to the official, the reason of murder remains unknown.
"We are trying to find out the cause of the murder. The local police station said there were no previous complaints made by the deceased, so we are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder... The victim is basically from Darbhanga, and he rented a shop here one year ago and lived with his family on the first floor. FSL team is investigating the case..." he added.
