Hyderabad SHE Teams Catch 478 Misbehaviour Cases During Muharram and Bonalu Festival
The Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) personnel at Hyderabad have apprehended 478 individuals during the period of Muharram and Bonalu festival due to inappropriate behavior with the women.

As stated in a press release by Dy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr Lavanya NJP (Women Safety Wing, Hyderabad), the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) personnel at Hyderabad have apprehended 478 individuals during the period of Muharram and Bonalu festival due to inappropriate behavior with the women.
According to the press release, out of a total number of 478 offenders, there were 92 juveniles; 288 intervener respondents were granted release after a warning, four were booked under petty cases and they were convicted under those and fined a total of Rs. 1,050.

Remarkably, five convictions were effected under the disposals of petitions and one of the offenders proceeded to imprisonment accompanied by a fixed fine and four convicts were fixed with a fine amounting to Rs. 50 each.
Moreover, there were 8 FIRs which have been registered in different police stations in the city of Hyderabad. In its outreach, SHE Teams have completed 124 awareness programs, 1,405 civic watch at the open areas, 352-awareness campaigns through AV vehicles; hence spreading awareness about women safety in the city.
It is interesting to mention that SHE Teams caught some of the crims red-handed during misbehavior with women devotees at Golconda Bonalu, Balkampet Yellamma Temple and Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Temple. In a bid to guarantee positive security and safety of women in festive gatherings, the force reinforced up to 14 teams since its deployment was extended in the press release.

SHE Teams informed users in its press release to get cautious about fake profiles because fraudsters usually make fake accounts to earn trust of people to dupe them. It cautions individuals never to trust anybody they may interact with on the internet without ascertaining their identity.
In addition, it will warn on over-sharing, as individuals tend to share personal details in social media that can be used to impersonate or steal their identity.
And finally, SHE Teams suggests to protect your accounts with strong and unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication as far as it is possible to increase the level of security.
