Baba Siddique’s Son Zeeshan Was on Radar Too: Zeeshan Siddique, son of the murdered NCP leader Baba Siddique was also on the hitlist of the 3 shooters. According to the Mumbai police, the handlers of the accused had asked them to kill both the politicians.

"Zeeshan Siddique, the son of Baba Siddiqui, had received threats a few days before the incident took place. The accused told during interrogation that both Zeeshan and Baba Siddique were on the target and they were ordered to fire on anyone they found," news agency ANI quoted the Mumbai Police as saying.

The police told the agency that Zeeshan Siddique was also the target.

According to the report, the shooters were told both the father and the son would be at the murder spot on Saturday evening. But if they didn’t get a chance to hit them together, they were asked to kill whoever they could find first.

Zeeshan Siddique, a Congress MLA from Vandre East was expelled by the party months ago for cross voting during the legislative council elections.

On Saturday night, Baba Siddique was murdered outside his office in Nirmal Nagar. He was shot multiple times. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai where he breathed his last.

Mumbai Police Crime Branch which is probing the murder has arrested a man named Pravin Lonkar from Pune. He is the brother of Shubuu Lonkar who had posted on social media that Baba Siddique was killed by Lawrence Bishnoi gang because of his relation with Salman Khan.

Two of them - Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana and Dharmaraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh have been arrested while the third - Shivkumar Gautam - had managed to escape from the spot. He was last seen around Panvel this morning.

Investigations so far have revealed that the three accused used to travel from Kurla (where they stayed on rent) to Bandra every day, mostly in auto rickshaws and used to recce the places Baba Siddiqui and his son used to visit. These places included around their house, office and the events they attended.

Two shooters have been arrested for the murder. One is absconding. Two are from Uttar Pradesh. One is from Haryana.
