Significance of this Sacred Full Moon Day

Lord Vishnu and the Moon God are worshipped on Ashadha Purnima, which is one of the most sacred day. On this day devotees perform various puja rituals and develop spiritual understanding. On this day, a large number of devotees observe Satyanarayan, who is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu.

The purpose of this day is to dedicate and pay tribute to your ‘GURU’ or teacher, who transmits wisdom and shows us the right path in life. This day is very important for Hindus who appreciate the Guru-Shishya tradition. On this day, worship their gurus by pujas, having their blessings, and offering them gifts.

This event is also the birth anniversary of Veda Vyasa, who put together the four Vedas and wrote the Mahabharata.
