Arjun Kapoor Praises Ranbir Kapoor’s Journey into Fatherhood: ‘Raha Ka Papa’ is Truly Amazing

Covering the span of almost two decades, audiences have enjoyed the acting prowess of Ranbir Kapoor portraying characters from a playboy in Bachna Ae Haseeno to a criminal son with daddy issues in Animal. At present, RK is gearing up to play Lord Rama in much-awaited Ramayana: Part 1 directed by Nitesh Tiwari. But the endearing quality that all would take home will always remain Ranbir's life role doting father to him and Alia Bhatt's daughter Raha. This was how actor's mother Neetu Kapoor described him-the eyes light up when he is with Raha. Their bond is truly special, and those who are close to the family have had a chance to watch it blossom beautifully. Such as RK's friend and fellow actor Arjun Kapoor.

A few months ago, Ranbir Kapoor's close pal Arjun Kapoor opened up quite a lot about what the journey of fatherhood has been since Raha was born in 2022, as the son of actor and wife Alia Bhatt. This once rarely-seen footages are now viral all over the social media sites. In a chat with Filmygyan, when asked to give RK a hashtag, Arjun shared, “#Father. I think these days when I see him, I see fatherhood has been so amazing for him. And he's so amazing in that space. So I think #Fatherhood. #Raha Ka Papa also is not bad.”

It was during the preparation for their passion project Brahmāstra: Part One - Shiva where Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor eventually realized their love for each other. After dating for 5 long years together, the couple finally tied the knot at their Bandra home on April 14, 2022, just a couple of months before the release of the Ayan Mukerji directorial.

In November that year, Alia and Ranbir welcomed their first and beautiful baby girl, who they named Raha-the name chosen by her dadi Neetu. Alia had shared, “Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! ❤️ Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️.”
