Apple to Invest $500 Billion in US: Soon after it seems to announce its largest investment in its own soil, Apple now says it would invest with a time frame of four years in the US with a whopping $500 billion and expand its workforce by 20,000 new jobs. It is no coincidence that such investment came after threats by Donald Trump to impose additional 10% taxes on imports from China; these will properly inject a boost into the industries and plants dwindling in America.
Some products that Apple assembles in China may face a 10% tariff, although some waivers for tariffs imposed by China were obtained by the iPhone manufacturer during the initial Trump presidency.
Just days after a meeting between Trump and the Apple chief executive Tim Cook, the announcement was made. Trump has continuously urged American businesses to "bring it back home," and he praised the announcement.
"He's investing hundreds of billions of dollars," Trump stated after the meeting last week. He suggested Apple was investing in the United States in order to avoid tariffs.
Apple's plan
On Monday, Apple announced that it intends to support the establishment of a 250,000-square-foot factory in Texas for the construction of artificial intelligence servers by 2026 and will add about 20,000 research and development jobs across the United States.

The project proposes constructing a new server manufacturing facility in Houston, establishing the supplier academy in Michigan, and increasing spending with existing suppliers in the United States.
Historically, all its hardware, including iPhones, was manufactured in China. However, to safeguard its profit margins and avoid keeping prices to consumers high, the corporation has invested heavily in domestic production for quite a while. In fact, Apple credited Trump's administration for Mac Pro fabrication in Texas in the first term of the president.
Apple, along with partner Foxconn Technology Group, hopes to commence production of AI servers later this year in Houston for its Private Cloud Compute platform-a move that brings some production back to the US. To base this production act, it is expected that next year, a new manufacturing facility will be launched to cover 250,000 square feet in Houston.
