PM Modi Slams ‘Jungle Raj’ Leaders, Says Bihar Won’t Forgive Those ‘Abusing’ Maha Kumbh
The remarks made by PM Modi come only a few days after RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav described the Maha Kumbha Mela as "meaningless."

PM Modi Slams ‘Jungle Raj’ Leaders: Those in the Bihar opposition attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for affixing the belief that "jungle raj hates our heritage and faith" upon states where people abuse the Maha Kumbh, which will never be forgiven.
The prime minister's remarks hold relevance considering the extreme remarks made by the opposition about alleged mismanagement, accidents, and the absence of clean water at the largest spiritual rendezvous of the world.

While addressing to a huge gathering in Bhagalpur district, PM Modi expressed his gratitude for being in the land of Mandarachal during Maha Kumbh. "This land has faith, heritage and the potential of a developed India. This is the land of Shaheed Tilka Majhi. This is also the Silk City. Preparations are going on for Maha Shivratri here. In such a holy time, I have got the privilege of sending one more instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to many people in the country," he said.

He said the NDA government in the state and center savors the glorious heritage of the nation and strives to raise a great future for it. However, "these people who believe in jungle raj (RJD) hate our heritage and our faith".
The prime minister said that the opposition "abuses" the ongoing Maha Kumbh of Unity, the greatest festival of the nation's faith, unity, and harmony. He recounted how more people had taken a holy dip than the entire population of Europe.
"People who are annoyed with the Ram temple are not leaving any opportunity to curse the Maha Kumbh. I know that Bihar will never forgive those who abuse the Maha Kumbh," PM Modi added.
Last week, a fresh row was ignited when Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that the Maha Kumbha Mela was in fact "meaningless" and blamed the Railways for the stampede that took place at New Delhi station, killing 18 persons.
Lalu slammed the BJP-led central government regarding the incident and demanded a resignation from the railway minister.
"There is no meaning to the Kumbh...It is just meaningless," he replied to a question regarding the large crowds heading to Prayagraj for the Mela.

According to the opposition, the stampede is just one of the numerous significant incidents during the Mela that have raised concerns about the management of the Kumbh Mela by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh and the Centre. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav offered to send CM Yogi Adityanath a book on managing the Kumbh Mela.
Yadav had stated he would present a book on Kumbh Mela studies by a Harvard University team to the sitting Chief Minister.
The stampede at the Maha Kumbh during the January 29 shahi snan, the deadly stampede at New Delhi railway station, and the mass movement of devotees towards the Maha Kumbh have provided some of the main talking points. There was also raised the issue of pure water, with the opposition claiming the Triveni Sangam water, where the devotees are taking the holy dip during the Kumbh Mela, was unfit for bathing.
He said that being discontent with every little inconvenience being pointed out and trying to malign the Maha Kumbh on fake documents is nothing else but playing with people's faith who jumped into the waters of Maa Ganga- encompassing those who have faith in Sanatan Dharma or not- and there are literally crores of such people, that too with dignity.
Backed by his recent data from the CPCB that shows water fit for drinking, not only for taking the dip, PM Adityanath has reportedly accused a few to malign Maha Kumbh.
