Andaz Apna Apna Producer’s Children Reject Aamir Khan’s Sequel Plans: It appears that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's highly-anticipated sequel, Andaz Apna Apna 2, is causing some problems. Aamir Khan's declaration that the sequel to the movie will be made with director Rajkumar Santoshi seems futile because now the actor-director has been denied the rights of making this much-awaited movie by the children of producer Vinay Sinha. The rights belong to Vinay Sinha's children, and the rights-holder is not interested to sell them to Aamir and Rajkumar.

When contacted recently by Lehren Retro, they were asked regarding the sequel of the film which was announced by Aamir Khan. They said, “Aamir was never a producer (of the film), he was just an actor. We will never sell the rights to him or Rajkumar Santoshi."

They further mentioned that they haven't been in touch with Aamir or Rajkumar. According to their responses, when asked regarding their non-involvement in said film's re-release, they said, “There have been no communications in the last six months. He (Rajkumar) became very busy with Lahore 1947. In fact, he gave us no time at all. He’s busy with the film, apparently it’s being heavily reshot. He didn’t come forward on the promotional aspect. I messaged him again today, asking for a video byte, and I’m still waiting for a reply."

They continued, “During Andaz Apna Apna release also, there was nobody for the premiere. None of them came. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan were shooting, they were busy. Raj ji didn’t come. Only Meenakshi Seshadri came. Raveena and Karisma were also not there. When they were initially signed, they were still in the nascent stage of their careers. But in the four years that it took to make the film, they became huge stars. They signed a lot of films. Dad didn’t want to wait any longer, and he just decided to release the film."

Andaz Apna Apna (1994) is a cult classic Bollywood comedy that, although it tanked initially at the box office, has been steadily becoming more and more popular over the years. The movie stars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan as two hapless dreamers from a small town who try to woo a millionaire; it is filled with hilarious misunderstandings and memorable one-liners and unforgettable characters such as Crime Master Gogo and Teja. Rajkumar Santoshi directs this movie and has Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon in the movie.
