The World Gin Day was established by Emma also known as the Gin Monkey and the founder of the Gin Monkey website. She used to work in Science during the day and at night she worked as a bartender in cocktail bars in Newcastle, London, and Leeds.
She loved all kinds of drinks and used to host gin tastings.
In 2010 Emma met Neil Houston and became close friends with him, they used to meet frequently and have Gin parties however, a celebration took place in Graphic in Soho, a small gin bar that marked the the beginning of World Gin Day.

World Gin Day Significance
We don't need a reason to grab a drink and catch up with old friends over gin, however, World Gin Day gives us an opportunity to celebrate this day with a bottle of Gin with your friends or family.
