UGC NET 2024 Dates Announced: NTA Releases Exam Schedule for UGC, CSIR NET, NCET

UGC NET 2024 Dates Announced: The National Testing Agency (NTA) finally released the examination dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET June 2024), National Common Entrance Test (NCET), and Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR-UGC NET).

The notice said, “This is to inform all concerned candidates that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, some of the National Testing Agency (NTA) examinations were postponed/cancelled. Now, the fresh dates for these examinations have been finalized as per the details given”

As per the notice released on the official website of NTA, the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET June 2024) will take place from August 21 to September 4.

The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) will be held on 10 July 2024 and CSIR-UGC joint NET examination will be held from July 25 to 27.

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is conducted especially for the jobs of "Assistant Professor" and "Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor.

The notice further said, “The UGC NET June 2024 Cycle examination was earlier held in Pen & paper (offline) mode. However, it will now be held in the Computer-Based Test ( CBT) mode. The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will be held as earlier scheduled on 06 July 2024.”

Earlier, the UGC NET and Joint CSIR-UGC NET were set to be conducted in June but because of reports about paper leaks and other malpractices, the examined dates were changed.

The NCET examination date was also postponed because some test centers were not able to start the test on time.

More than 11,00,000 people applied for the UGC NET June 2024 exam, and around 40,000 students applied for the NCET examinations.
