Sebastian Stan Slams ‘Narcissist’ Donald Trump, Jokes He Watched The Apprentice 100 Times
The 2024 biographical drama explored the early life of Donald Trump, focusing on his career as a real estate businessman in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s.
The 42-year-old actor had some bold words for US President Donald Trump that were anything but complimentary. In a recent interview, Sebastian Stan spoke about Trump in terms of “narcissist"-like behavior with the comment that he must have watched The Apprentice more times than anyone else.
“I would put money down, he’s seen it 100 f—g times, of course, because he’s a narcissist," Sebastian said during his interview with Vanity Fair magazine. He added, “And I bet you there’s certain things he likes about it." When the interviewer asked the actor to elaborate, the Marvel star responded, “How he looked. He loses his humanity. I guess that’s essentially what happens."

Sebastian went on to say that he felt empathetic toward his character, although he was playing a person who can be seen as polarizing. “As an actor, all you’re trying to do is just look at these very human things and identify with them," he mentioned.
The movie also earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the 97th Academy Awards, yet Adrien Brody won for The Brutalist.
Despite the harsh comments and words thrown against Trump, he had no qualms about the possible fallouts with the US President. When the actor was asked if he feared landing on “top of Trump’s enemies list,” the 42-year-old brushed it off with a laugh.

In 2024, right before the release of The Apprentice, Donald Trump posted angrily over the Ali Abbasi-directed film. On Truth Social, he called the movie “fake and classless” and condemned it as a “cheap, defamatory, and politically disgusting hatchet job” before the US Elections. The Apprentice is an attempt “to try and hurt the Greatest Political Movement in the History of our Country, "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
The Apprentice, released in October last year, also features Jeremy Strong as attorney Roy Cohn, Martin Donovan as Trump’s father Fred, and Maria Bakalova as Trump’s first wife, Ivana.
