"A cosmetic (interior) window frame on one of the Q400 Aircraft became loose during flight and was found dislodged," the airline said in a statement.
Cabin pressurisation, SpiceJet added, was normal during the flight and there was no concern to passenger safety and it was a non- structural airline trim component, which had come loose, fitted onto the window, the purpose of which is to act as a shade, this component did however not affect the safety or integrity of the aircraft.

"The Q400 aircraft has more than two layers of window panes, with the strong, pressure bearing outer pane, so that the safety of its passengers is never in danger, even in a remote possibility of a surface or cosmetic part coming off", SpiceJet said.
A passenger wondered about the aircraft needing a change of airworthiness so the dislodged window went live on a social media platform X.
"#SpiceJet from Goa to Pune today. The whole interior window assembly just fell off mid flight. And this flight is now supposed to take off and head to Jaipur. Wonder if it's air worthy.." the passenger stated, while tagging the aviation safety regulator DGCA in the post.
