Paresh Rawal was born on May 30, 1955 to a Gujarati family in Bombay and in 1985 made his debut in the film Industry.
He completed his schooling at Lion Juhu High School and did his graduation from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics where he attended many drama festivals.
After he completed his graduation he worked at the Bank of Baroda for a few years before entering the film industry.
Paresh Rawal especially worked in Hindi films and many of his fans appreciate his works because of his good performance.
He has also received many awards for his role in more than 240 films such as National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.
His performance in the movie Ketan Mehta Sardar in which he played the lead role of a freedom fighter made him worldwide famous and gave him huge acclaim, he also got the Padma Shri award for this film.

Paresh Rawal started his film carrer as a supporting actor in the film Arjun in 1985 and also performed in Doordarshan TV serials.
His performance in the film Naam in 1986 received great appreciation from people and he became famous for his talent.
After Naam, he appeared in most of the films, and by the 1990s he had already completed more than 100 films portrayed as a villain.
He also received the Filmfare Best Comedian Award for his fantastic acting in the 2000 film Hera Pheri.
Rawal also played a lead role in the film Aankhen which featured Amitabh Bachchan, Aditya Pancholi, Akshay Kumar, and many other renowned idols.
He continued appearing in many lead roles in films such as Shankar Dada MBBS (Telugu), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Hungama (2003), Garam Masala (2005), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Deewane Huye Paagal (2005), Malamaal Weekly (2006), Hulchul (2004), Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2007), Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Welcome and many others.
In 2012, Rawal also played alongside Akshay Kumar in the movie OMG – Oh My God and got great reviews for their work.

Paresh Rawal is from a Gujarati family and he married Swaroop Sampat in 1987, who won the Miss India contest in 1979.
Swaroop Sampat gave birth to two sons, one name is Aditya and another is Anirudh. Both the sons are now Indian actors and making names in the film industry.
