On Cam: Israel Intercepts Missiles From Iran Hours After Trump’s Ceasefire Claims

Israel-Iran War: Just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed a ceasefire is in place, images began circulating on social media showing Israel intercepting missiles from Iran.

“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social around 1:00 a.m. stateside.

The Israel Defence Forces triggered sirens throughout parts of Israe, after radar detected incoming missiles from Iran.

Iran had launched a fresh barrage of missiles at Israel as the ceasefire deadline announced by Trump neared.

These missiles were launched after Iran said it had stopped all military operations and attacks against Israel at 4 a.m. local time. Tehran did say, however, that it would stop attacks only if Israel stopped its military operations against Iran.

After Iran launched a missile attack against U.S. bases in Qatar, U.S. President Trump used Truth Social and declared that a ceasefire is in place between Israel and Iran.

However, after Trump's claim, the Iranian foreign minister said Tehran had not received any ceasefire agreement or ceasefire proposal from the United States.

Stating that Israel initiated the war, and confirming that Tehran will cease military operations against Tel Aviv at 4 a.m. local time, the Iranian foreign minister said Israel had not stated when it plans to stop military operations. Israel has not yet shown a response to Trump's claim of a ceasefire.

It has been 12 days of conflict between Iran and Israel. After Israel launched ‘Operation rising Lion’ and attacked military bases and nuclear facilities in Iran, tensions escalated.

Iran and Israel have since been taking regular shots at each other, air and missile attacks have killed about 400 in Iran and about 24 in Israel. Lastly, the US has gotten involved in the war after conducting strikes on 3 Iranian nuclear facilities.
