Nitesh Rane Taunts Uddhav Thackeray Over MNS Alliance Buzz: ‘Did He Take Wife’s Permission?’
Nitesh Rane claimed that Rashmi Thackeray was instrumental in Raj Thackeray's departure from Shiv Sena.
Nitesh Rane Taunts Uddhav Thackeray Over MNS Alliance Buzz: On Sunday, Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane mocked Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, asking if he consulted his wife, Rashmi Thackeray, before acting upon MNS chief Raj Thackeray's statements that stirred speculation of an alliance between the two estranged cousins.
While they both Raj and Uddhav made some statements recently seemingly hinting at patching up and being able to overlook “small petty issues” for the sake of Maharashtra and the Marathi 'manoos'.

He further accuses Rashmi Thackeray of being the one to persuade Raj Thackeray from leaving Shiv Sena, with "no major differences" between the two at that time.
Regarding an alliance between the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Rane said the BJP-led Mahayuti had secured a strong mandate in Maharashtra, adding, "So we are not concerned about any alliance between them."
Meanwhile, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed signs that Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray might reunite while calling the development a positive one on Saturday.
He was reacting to Raj Thackeray's comment, in a podcast chat with filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, about being open to letting bygones be bygones with cousin Uddhav Thackeray

Hours after a podcast featuring Raj Thackeray went viral, the official X handle of Shiv Sena (UBT) shared a split-screen video showing Raj and Uddhav Thackeray shaking hands outside Matoshree, as Uddhav expressed willingness to set aside minor differences for the sake of Maharashtra.
The post takes a sign of hope and disbelief even within both Uddhav's Shiv Sena (UBT) and Raj's Maharashtra Navinirman Sena (MNS).
The cousins are among the original movers and shakers in the 1990s Shiv Sena. But they have been political enemies over three decades. The icing on the cake, of course, is the reunion of the cousins, which would imply tons of new political scenarios in Maharashtra already rattled by the big splits in the Shiv Sena and NCP in 2022-2023.
This moment will prove the biggest indication of political reconciliation since Raj broke away from the Shiv Sena to form the MNS in 2005-06.
